Birmingham Post & Mail Food Critic Review
Richard McComb, Food Critic for the Birmingham Post and mail, visited Concept last week to get a preview of The Secret Restaurant. Here’s some of what he had to say…
“IT’S the most unusual pop-up restaurant of the year – staffed by blind chefs. And judging by the tasting I enjoyed this week, The Secret Restaurant is set to be one of the best, offering great cooking at a great price.”
“I try a starter of a chicken, halloumi cheese and chilli spring roll, which is served with a cumin-scented carrot and raisin yoghurt “slaw,” and a dish of baked salmon with a pesto crust and Hollandaise sauce. None of the dishes would be out of place in bustling brasserie.”
“I also have a taste of the veggie option – a chickpea, lemon and spinach tagine – which is equally well done, and finish with a superlative chocolate and raspberry brownie.”
