
Coconut Flapjacks
Ingredients
- 100g/4oz butter
- 75g/3oz Golden Syrup
- 100g/4oz Demerara Sugar
- 150g/6oz Rolled Oats
- 50g/2oz Desiccated Coconut
- 1 tsp Almond Essence
Method
- Melt butter, sugar and syrup in a saucepan
- Add oats, coconut and almond essence and mix thoroughly
- Press the mixture into a shallow greased tin 9×6 in. And bake 180°C / gas 4 for about 30 minutes. Until golden brown
- Cool in a tin for 2-3 minutes, before cutting into fingers.
- Leave to cool. Enjoy.
