Coconut Flapjacks

Ingredients

  • 100g/4oz butter
  • 75g/3oz Golden Syrup
  • 100g/4oz Demerara Sugar
  • 150g/6oz Rolled Oats
  • 50g/2oz Desiccated Coconut
  • 1 tsp Almond Essence

Method

  1. Melt butter, sugar and syrup in a saucepan
  2. Add oats, coconut and almond essence and mix thoroughly
  3. Press the mixture into a shallow greased tin 9×6 in. And bake 180°C / gas 4 for about 30 minutes. Until golden brown
  4. Cool in a tin for 2-3 minutes, before cutting into fingers.
  5. Leave to cool. Enjoy.
